A new 38-lot housing addition with infrastructure funded by Bartlesville tax increment finance districts has moved forward, receiving final plat approval from the City Council.
The council Monday approved plans for the Interurban Addition, which will be constructed on 7.23 acres west of Washington Boulevard between Nebraska and Indiana streets.
The council in May approved a finance package with Arvest bank for Interurban, which is providing $270,000 in funding for new streets, and water and sewer lines in the neighborhood that is being constructed by Terrell Taylor Co.
Using the tax increment financing method, the city will capture ad valorem revenues for several years and apply them toward the infrastructure cost.
Bartlesville set up several tax increment financing districts in the past year to spur home construction, with a goal of seeing 700 houses built within three years.
Another housing subdivision received final plat approval Monday when the council approved plans for the 9.8-acre Park Hill Third Addition. Under the plan, 25 single-family residences will be built by Brent Taylor Homes east of the intersection of Madison Avenue and Tuxedo Boulevard. |
