DirecTV, the nation's
leading digital multichannel television
service provider has opened its new,
owned-and-operated customer call center
in Tulsa. The 93,000-square-foot facility
can employ up to 1,300 customer service
professionals and is dedicated to providing
technical support to the more than 13
million DirecTV customers nationwide.
The call center representatives will
provide support for new DirecTV products
and advance television services, such
as digital video recorders, interactive
services and high-definition programming.
In addition, Tulsa representatives also
will assist DirecTV customers with local
channel inquiries and general DirecTV
information.
"DirecTV is committed to indetifying
and meeting the diverse needs of our
customers, and the opening of our new
Tulsa customer call center is just one
more way DirecTV plans to continue building
long-lasting relationships with our
more than 13 million customers nationwide,"

vice president of customer satisfaction.

According to Tulsa MetroChamber statistics,
Tulsa has the second-shortest commute
time in the nation and ranks third in
the nation for the lowest cost of doing
business. In addition, Tulsa's cost
of living is eight percent below the
national average.
DirecTV currently owns and operates
a customer service center in Boise,
Idaho, and is opening an additional
customer service center in Huntsville,
Ala. Today, DirecTV has more than 8,600
customer care representatives serving
its customer base.
